Kaipara aggregate quarry monthly volumetrics

Twelve monthly photogrammetry epochs across a 38 ha working quarry, replacing manual stockpile walks with ±1.5% volumetric reporting.

◇ Challenge

Month-end stockpile figures were taking two staff a full day and still drifting 5–8% against sales reconciliation.

◇ Approach

Fixed flight plan flown at identical GSD each month, ground control on stable benchmarks outside the active face, automated cut/fill against the previous epoch and the consented final surface.

◇ Outcome

Volumetric reports on the operator's desk within 24 hours of each flight. Reconciliation variance dropped below 1.5% and the consent-compliance surface check became a by-product of the monthly run.
